Robert Silver has been a senior partner of Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP since the firm was founded and is a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
Mr. Silver was a lawyer with Cravath, Swaine & Moore from 1983 to 1988, where he worked on the IBM and Texaco-Pennzoil litigations. In the beginning of 1988, Mr. Silver returned to Yale Law School as a Faculty Fellow.
- At Boies, Schiller & Flexner, Mr. Silver has worked on complex litigation matters and corporate transactions. Mr. Silver worked on the United States v. Microsoft litigation and the Gore Presidential Campaign litigation. Representative clients include Sir Harold Evans, Sony Corporation, Sony Corporation of America, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Maurice R. ("Hank") Greenberg, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American International Group Inc., the C.V. Starr companies, Sheldon Solow, Altria, Philip Morris USA, Goldman Sachs, the New York Yankees, American Express, and Echostar. Mr. Silver has also provided strategic advice and consultation to a variety of companies regarding IP and IP/antitrust issues. Mr. Silver has worked on the representation of plaintiffs in antitrust class action litigation, including the Vitamins antitrust litigation and the Auction Houses antitrust litigation.
