Ellen Brockman's main areas of practice are complex commercial litigation and family law. Ms. Brockman's representative cases include:
- Assisting in the successful defense of Starr International and its Chairman Maurice R. Greenberg against claims by AIG
- Defending PIMCO in ongoing litigation against claims of market manipulation
- A number of estate and matrimonial matters
Ms. Brockman is also currently part of the team representing the plaintiffs in their landmark challenge to California's state constitutional amendment banning marriage equality for gay couples ("Proposition 8") as a violation of the United States Constitution.
