Edward Normand's main practice area is complex commercial litigation.

Since joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, Mr. Normand has represented a professional baseball team regarding revenue sharing and two hedge funds in matters arising from the economic crisis in Russia. Mr. Normand represented an online music trading service in its litigation with major record companies. Mr. Normand has also represented large public companies undertaking to implement changes in their corporate governance structure. In addition, Mr. Normand represents the participants and beneficiaries of employee welfare benefit plans in their ongoing litigation against a pharmaceutical benefits management company and its parent pharmaceutical drug manufacturer. Mr. Normand also represents the London-based insurers in the ongoing litigation regarding the extent of coverage of the program of insurance for the World Trade Center complex. He is currently representing in ongoing litigation regarding the development of certain computer operating systems.

Mr. Normand was formerly an associate at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and assisted the Special Master to the United States Supreme Court in preparing and submitting to the Court the final report and recommendation in the controversy regarding the disputed state sovereignty of Ellis Island.
