Carla Hogan's main practice areas are health care and employment law.  Ms. Hogan regularly counsels clients, including health care providers, regarding regulatory, transactional and litigation related issues.  She has been involved in litigation on behalf of providers for failure to pay claims and represents health care providers through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other contractual arrangements.  She has defended health care providers on health care fraud charges and routinely advises such clients in connection with activities involving Stark II, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse, and compliance issues.  Ms. Hogan has also defended employers in federal, state and administrative proceedings on employment discrimination charges and FMLA actions and has obtained summary judgment in favor of employers in a number of employment matters.

Since joining Boies Schiller & Flexner in 2000, Ms Hogan has worked on several high profile cases including the defense of Tyco International, Ltd, Qwest Communications, DuPont and Starr International Company.

Ms. Hogan is currently an Adjunct Professor in the MBA program at the Graduate Management Institute of Union College, and is a frequent lecturer on employment law issues for Cornell University, School of Industrial Labor Relations.
