Dara Burns's main practice areas include complex commercial litigation, securities litigation and antitrust.

Ms. Burns’ representative work includes: tthe defense of a large telecommunications company alleged to have made material misstatements in violation of the 1934 Securities Exchange Act; the representation of class members in a lawsuit brought against a large biotechnology company for alleged violations of the federal securities laws; the prosecution of federal and state antitrust claims on behalf of a leading manufacturer of agricultural seeds and chemicals against a competing manufacturer; and representation of a corporation in an investigation by the Department of Justice for alleged violations of antitrust laws.

Ms. Burns received her undergraduate degree in 1995 from Bloomsburg University. In 2000, she graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central Law School, where she was a member of the Law Journal from 1998-2000.
