Robert J. Dwyer's main practice area involves large complex litigation.
Before joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP in May 2001, Mr. Dwyer had been an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, a founding partner of Davis, Markel, Dwyer & Edwards (now part of Hogan & Hartson LLP) and a partner and member of the Executive Committee of Bryan Cave LLP. At those firms, his practice included antitrust, class action, trade secret, products liability, fraud, contracts, government contracts, patent infringement and tender offer litigation.
From 1992 to 2001, Mr. Dwyer represented the State of Kuwait in the preparation and presentation of more than $100 billion of claims filed by 44 Kuwaiti government organizations against Iraq before the United Nations Compensation Commission ('UNCC') for damage resulting from the first Gulf War.
Mr. Dwyer's practice at the Firm continues to focus on large complex litigation, including antitrust, environmental and contract litigation for DuPont and securities litigation for Maurice R. Greenberg, as well as the arbitration of various contract disputes.
