Mr. Blum’s practice includes representation of partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and other business entities and their owners. His main practice areas include federal income taxation (including corporate and partnership taxation), commercial transactions, and business entity law. He has represented many local, regional, national and international clients in both taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, business combinations, restructurings, equity and debt financings, private equity transactions, corporate joint ventures and other strategic alliances. Mr. Blum also provides expertise to the firm’s litigation group in matters relating to tax, accounting, auditing and corporate governance and has participated in a number of the firm’s corporate forensic investigations.
Mr. Blum was formally associated with McDermott, Will and Emery. He has authored a number of articles and lectured on business law, health law and tax issues. He is a certified public accountant in Florida (retired).
