Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Davis was trial counsel for the State of Florida, as a Special Assistant Attorney General, in an antitrust case that settled in the sixth week of a jury trial. Total settlements in excess of $90 million were reached in that case. Mr. Davis has handled other complex cases including a $40 million partnership dispute and a ground lease litigation involving $10 million property. He also obtained a $1.1 million jury verdict in a federal civil rights case (false arrest). Mr. Davis has tried over twenty jury cases and fifty non-jury cases over his career. In addition, Mr. Davis has argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court and the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal in Florida. He recently successfully handled a will contest over $25 million worth of assets.
The South Florida Legal Guide has listed Mr. Davis as one of its “Top Lawyers” in every year since 2004. He was also listed in the 2008 Super Lawyers-Coporate Counsel Edition.
