Stanley H. Kuperstein's main practice area is transactional and regulatory health law, federal income tax, corporate and partnership law and qualified retirement plans.

Mr. Kuperstein has represented clients in a variety of complex matters, including representing individual physician and small physician groups in transactions with public companies. Mr. Kuperstein has advised clients in the formation of multi-specialty and multi-shareholder physician groups, establishment of governing rules for large group practices, the sale of group practices and the divestiture of physician practices from physician practice management companies. In addition, Mr. Kuperstein has advised clients in connection with activities involving Stark II, Medicare fraud and abuse, the Florida Anti-Referral Laws and Federal and state anti-kickback laws. Mr. Kuperstein also has represented buyers and sellers in non-medical areas of business including furniture manufacturers, fuel oil distributors, travel agencies, and hotels and apartment buildings. Mr. Kuperstein's tax background has enabled him to advise the client both on the corporate matters involved, as well as their federal income tax consequences. Mr. Kuperstein further practices in the area of employee benefits. He advises private companies and public companies in retirement plan selection, formation and ongoing operation of the retirement plan. Mr. Kuperstein has assisted clients in obtaining determination letters with respect to the qualification of their retirement plans, and obtaining waivers and/or corrective procedures with the Internal Revenue Service in connection with the operation and qualification of employee benefit plans.

Mr. Kuperstein is also a former Lecturer in Law in Deferred Compensation at the University of Miami Graduate law program.
