Peter A. Gwynne's primary practice area is complex litigation.

Since joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, Mr. Gwynne has represented a major international insurer in litigation concerning the application of investment banking insurance policies in connection with events surrounding the collapse of the Enron Corporation and WorldCom, Inc.  He also participated in high profile litigation regarding the development of certain computer operating systems.  Recently, Mr. Gwynne represented the reinsurer of a block of disability insurance policies in an arbitration concerning the adequacy of the cedent company's pre-contractual disclosures.

Mr. Gwynne received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Editorial Staff of the Yale Law Journal. In 1991, he was awarded a B.S. with distinction from the United States Naval Academy. He received his M.A. in National Security Studies from Georgetown University in 1992.

Mr. Gwynne served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy. He was designated a Naval Aviator and flew H-60 "Seahawk" helicopters, while assigned to the aircraft carriers U.S.S. Enterprise and U.S.S. Eisenhower. As one of the first graduates of the Navy's Helicopter Weapons and Tactics Instructor School, he taught other aviators graduate-level Combat Search and Rescue techniques.
