Ms. Monroe received a B.A. in English from the State University of New York at Albany, and in 2005 graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School, where she received a Sponsler fellowship, a Founder’s Scholarship, and was a senior editor of the Albany Law Review.
During law school, Ms. Monroe worked as a legal intern to the Hon. Edward O. Spain in the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, and assisted with the preparation of the 2004 Practicing Law Institute’s First Amendment publication on Prior Restraints, authored by Floyd Abrams.
Before attending law school, Ms. Monroe worked as a journalist in the Albany, New York area.
