Kavitha Reddy's area of practice is complex commercial litigation, including securities litigation.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Reddy has participated in the representation of:

Starr International Company, Inc. in its defense against a claim by AIG as to the ownership of $20 billion of stock and artwork. This case culminated in Starr International's victory following a three week jury trial in the Southern District of New York;

Maurice R. Greenberg, C.V. Starr & Co., Inc. and Starr International Company, Inc. in connection with a class action suit involving AIG securities and Section 10(b), as well as Section 11 and 15 claims;

a group of private managing general agencies: C.V. Starr & Co., Inc., Starr Technical Risks Agency, C.V. Starr & Co. of California, American International Marine Agency of New York, Inc. and American International Aviation Agency, Inc. ("AIAA") in connection with certain disputes with AIG relating to termination of business relationships, "poaching" of employees and ownership of business records and trademarks;

DuPont in connection with an investigation by the Department of Justice related to perfluorooctanoic acid; and

a private recreational facility in a sex discrimination suit brought by a former employee.

Ms. Reddy earned a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University (Middletown, Connecticut) in three years, graduating in 2001. She received a John M. Plukas Teaching Apprentice Award for excellence in teaching within the Economics Department.

In the year prior to law school, Ms. Reddy was a Research Associate at NERA (National Economic Research Associates), an economics consulting firm, in their antitrust and intellectual property practice areas.

Ms. Reddy graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2005. In 2003, she served as an intern in the Antitrust Division of the United States Justice Department in their Chicago field office.

Ms. Reddy is a member of the board of directors of a privately held beverage company.
