Theodore Uno's main practice area is family law.

Mr. Uno has represented clients in highly complex family law cases and high-stakes civil litigation matters.

His family law work has encompassed a full range of issues faced by people seeking relief in divorce or parenting actions, including custody, relocation, domestic violence allegations, distribution of assets and liabilities, alimony, child support, and attorney's fees.

Mr. Uno brings to this work his experience in civil cases such as Starr International Company, Inc.'s litigation against American International Group, Inc., which secured a unanimous jury verdict in SICO's favor where at least $4.3 billion was at stake; American Express's antitrust suit against Visa, which resulted in a $2.25 billion settlement in favor of American Express; and a civil rights action that seeks to enjoin California's Proposition 8 (which bans same-sex marriage) on federal constitutional grounds.
