Ilana Miller is a partner in the firm’s New York City office. Ms. Miller also serves as Deputy General Counsel to the firm. Since joining the firm in 2010, Ms. Miller has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation involving antitrust violations, securities disputes, unfair competition, constitutional violations, contract disputes, and business torts. 

Ms. Miller was part of the trial team led by firm Chairman David Boies that successfully demonstrated in the Court of Federal Claims that the United States Government had no legal authority to take equity from AIG shareholders during the financial crisis in 2008.  Other recent representative matters include the defense of Barclays in multi-district litigation involving the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR); the representation of a leading global investment management firm in an international government investigation; the defense of a leading international bank against claims of employment discrimination; and the representation of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in an action alleging antitrust violations against an oil and gas company.  Ms. Miller also represents pro bono clients, including immigrant children seeking legal status in the United States.

Ms. Miller joined the firm following the completion of her federal clerkship.  Prior to law school, she was the Communications Coordinator for the Independent Press Association, a non-profit organization, where she developed and managed various programs aimed at strengthening New York’s immigrant and community press.
