Mr. Reblitz-Richardson has represented Oracle, American Express, Sony, Tyco International, Broadcom, Texas Instruments, and other companies in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters.  His work has included antitrust, securities, copyright infringement, fraud, contract, and other areas of law.

Mr. Reblitz-Richardson was part of the trial team in four cases:

  • In 2010, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson was part of the team representing Oracle in a copyright infringement case against SAP and others that resulted in a $1.3 billion jury verdict in favor of Oracle.  This was the largest damages verdict ever for copyright infringement.
  • In 2010, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson was part of the team that successfully challenged California's Proposition 8, which eliminated the right of same-sex couples to marry.  The landmark civil rights decision is currently on appeal.
  • In 2009, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson assisted with the defense of Starr International Company, headed by Maurice R. "Hank" Greenberg, in which AIG sought control of billions of dollars in Starr assets.  Starr obtained a unanimous jury verdict on all of AIG's claims.
  • In 2008 and 2009, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson represented American Express in a nationwide class action involving, among other claims, a claim under California's unfair competition law.  That trial resulted in a judgment for American Express on all claims.

Mr. Reblitz-Richardson has also represented individuals in federal and state actions, including the daughter of deceased billionaire Marvin Davis, who alleged misappropriation of trust assets, and an individual charged with trespass in connection with an Earth First action.  In 2006, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson also contributed to the successful defense of a company charged with breach of contract, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation.  After a three-week trial, the jury returned a verdict for the company on all claims, and the court then awarded the company 100 percent of its attorneys' fees.

While at Boalt Hall School of Law, Mr. Reblitz-Richardson served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Claudia Wilken of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.  He also served on the Board of the Ecology Law Quarterly, and as an Associate and Executive Editor.  During law school, he volunteered for the California Asylum Refugee Clinic.
