Philip Bowman's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts around the country in litigation involving, among other things, antitrust, securities, corporate governance, breach of contract, and mergers & acquisitions.
Since joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP in 2006, Mr. Bowman has been involved in many of the firm's significant successes, including its record-breaking $4 billion recovery on behalf of American Express in an antitrust case against Visa and MasterCard, its victory in a trial on behalf of Starr International Company, Inc. against AIG, its representation of Wachovia in litigation against Citigroup relating to the 2008 acquisition of Wachovia by Wells Fargo and its representation of the Golden Gate Yacht Club in litigation relating to the America's Cup. Additional representative clients include Goldman Sachs & Co., Pacific Investment Management Company LLC., and the New York Yankees.
Prior to joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, Mr. Bowman was a litigation associate at the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
