James Lee, an associate in the firm's Miami office, focuses on large, complex commercial matters and high-risk product liability and tort matters.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Lee has defended high-risk product liability and tort matters for Philip Morris USA Inc. in Florida. Currently, he is actively defending Philip Morris USA in Florida actions that are progeny cases from the Florida Supreme Court's decision in Engle v. Liggett Group, Inc., et al., 945 So. 2d 1246 (Fla. 2006).
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lee practiced in New York, where he represented Verizon Wireless in numerous consumer protection cases and class actions. He also defended a client in connection with federal and state prosecutions in Florida, which included allegations of money laundering and violations of the Travel Act. He has experience defending Fortune 500 companies in shareholder derivative actions under federal securities laws and in related internal investigations.
