Ryan Witte’s main practice areas are product liability defense and complex commercial litigation.  Since joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner, LLP, in 2009, Mr. Witte has actively defended lawsuits brought against Philip Morris USA Inc. for injuries allegedly caused by smoking.  As part of his practice, Mr. Witte has been an active member of nine trial teams, preparing trial counsel for all aspects of trial presentation and strategy. 

Mr. Witte has also worked on a broad range of other matters, including defending the law firm of Proskauer Rose in a professional negligence action that resulted in a six-week trial.

Mr. Witte received his Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida in 2004.  In 2008, he graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University College of Law where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Florida State University Law Review.  While in law school, Mr. Witte worked as a summer law clerk for Judge Robert T. Benton on Florida's First District Court of Appeal.

Following law school, Mr. Witte attended Columbia Law School where he earned his LL.M. as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.  He also served as a Staff Editor on the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts.
