David Simons' primary practice area is litigation, at both the trial and appellate level.
Since joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Simons has participated in the representation of a large shareholder class bringing a Fifth Amendment Takings claim arising from events during the financial crisis.
Mr. Simons joined the firm following a federal court clerkship in Chicago. During law school, Mr. Simons represented a group of plaintiffs challenging the adequacy of Connecticut's public education system under the State Constitution.
