Boies, Schiller & Flexner has been an active supporter of the Veteran's Traumatic Brain Injury Center for Treatment and Education since its inception.  The Center has been a recipient of the Firm's pro bono assistance both during its creation and through ongoing support. The Firm has assisted with the production of materials to secure the IRS 501 (c )(3) designation and reviewed all documents to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations; BSF also helped create the Center's new website at The Center is expected to enter into a partnership with the Miami Veterans Administration in the near future.

The Veterans' Traumatic Brain Injury Center for Treatment and Education was established in 2009.  The mission of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is to provide a variety of programs to enhance the quality of life for veterans suspected of suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury ("TBI"), as well as their families.  Programming includes: funding research for cutting edge breakthroughs in the areas of TBI and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ("PTSD"); support groups; educational programs; special events; and numerous other activities and projects.

BSF partner Michael Kosnitzky is the Board Chair of the Center and has substantial experience in the South Florida healthcare community in his former role as the Chairman of the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Health System and as President of the Epilepsy Foundation of South Florida.  In addition to Kosnitzky, the BSF's pro bono team working on this worthy cause is associate Matthew Kaden, Director of Information Technology Michael Chung and IT Manager Walter Rodriguez.
