Nicholas Gravante, Jr.
BSF Partner Nicholas Gravante, Jr. began a three year term on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee for the First Judicial Department on January 18, 2013. He was appointed to the post by Presiding Justice Luis Gonzalez and the other Justices of the First Department. The New York Law Journal noted the appointment in a page 1 story.
Mr. Gravante, who serves as Administrative Partner of BSF’s New York City office and also as General Counsel to the Firm, is a trial lawyer who specializes in complex commercial and white collar criminal defense litigation. Mr. Gravante has consistently been honored as one of the country’s top litigators, including for many years by Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Lawyers in America and New York’s Best Lawyers.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gravante serves as a member of the Second Department Judicial Screening Committee, as vice-chair of the Brooklyn Public Library, and as a member of the boards of trustees for the Community Service Society, Poly Prep Country Day School and ESS Sheltering Arms.
