BSF Plays Integral Role in Merger Resulting in the Largest Realtor Association in United States

August 1, 2010

BSF, led by Keith Blum, recently facilitated the merger of Florida's two largest realtor associations into the Miami Association of Realtors -- now the largest tax-exempt realty association in the United States, with 23,000 members.

This complex transaction included restructuring affiliated tax-exempt entities; evaluating taxable income issues; private inurement; private benefit and other complex issues affecting tax-exempt organizations.  The Firm also addressed the complexity of conforming the merger and restructuring to comply with both federal tax law and Florida law.
