$155 Million Settlement Reached for BSF Client in Federal Case Against Quixtar (Amway)
On November 3, 2010, BSF filed a motion for court approval of a settlement in Pokorny v. Quixtar (Amway), a class action case in federal court in the N.D. California. BSF represents a class of several hundred thousand current and former distributors in Quixtar's multi-level marketing program; the case alleges violations of RICO and state laws. The settlement will provide for economic and injunctive relief valued at $155 million.
The law firm of Gary Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson & Sperando, P.L. worked as co-counsel with BSF on the case.
