New Counsel Appointment for Boies, Schiller & Flexner in London
January 15, 2016
Boies, Schiller & Flexner has appointed Konrad Rodgers as counsel to join its growing London team. Rodgers was previously a senior associate in the Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP Dispute Resolution team where he specialised in international commercial litigation, investor state and international arbitration. He joins Boies, Schiller & Flexner’s 14-strong City legal team which has more than doubled over 12 months including the recent addition of international arbitrator Kenneth Beale as third partner. The London office has also promoted Fiona Huntriss and Nathalie Allen Prince to counsel.
Natasha Harrison, London managing partner said: “We set the bar high on recruitment and appoint only the most exceptionally talented and commercially driven lawyers. Konrad is one of only a handful of people who can offer that breadth of dispute resolution experience and he comes with an impressive track-record of working in complex and high risk global disputes making him an ideal addition to our team.”
Konrad Rodgers said: “Boies, Schiller & Flexner is a firm with a formidable reputation for its specialist litigation credentials. I am looking forward to helping them grow their London office.”
Rodgers started his legal career at the bar with 39 Essex Street and Stone Chambers before a spell as judicial assistant to the Court of Appeal. At Cleary Gottlieb, his client work included advising corporates, banks and financial institutions on commercial fraud, restructuring and finance disputes as well as sovereign governments on sovereign immunity and public international law matters.
Boies, Schiller Flexner, a premier US law firm, opened its London office in 2014 as part of the firm’s strategy to serve clients facing increasingly complex international disputes. The London team has since generated its own UK client following including banks, hedge funds, governments and significant corporates.
