FTC's latest effort to regulate lawyers hits wall of opposition

Now, the agency is back in court trying to salvage rules that would force lawyers to detect, combat and report identity theft. On Nov. 15, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — which has already batted down one FTC lawyer regulation effort — will hear arguments in a fight over the so-called "Red Flags Rule."
