Professional Leadership

BSF attorneys are frequently at the forefront of the always-evolving legal landscape, influencing policies and setting legal precedent. Our attorneys involve themselves -- often as Board members or in other advisory roles -- in influential organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York State Advisory Committee on Civil Practice, and the Commission on Public Integrity.

Our commitment to the legal profession is also seen in our participation in various Bar Associations. Miami administrative partner Steve Zack became the first Hispanic-American to serve as president of the American Bar Association, 2010-2011.  During his tenure, he set in place initiatives regarding the preservation of the justice system, civics education, the legal rights of Hispanics and the development of legal framework to respond to natural or man-made disasters. Among other Bar Association leadership roles, NYC partner Rob Leung served as president of the Asian American Bar Association from 2010 to 2011, and Marilyn Kunstler is currently on the Board of Directors of the New York Women's Bar Association Foundation.
