Ohio Savings Bank Litigation
Class notice has been issued in the case of Hamilton v. Ohio Savings Bank, Case No. 83678, pending in the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas, Ohio. Plaintiffs allege that the bank, now known as AmTrust Bank, calculated interest on some residential mortgages originated between 1970 and the mid-1990s in a manner that breached its contracts with those customers and, in some cases, was fraudulent and violated the law.
