David’s practice focuses on finding creative solutions for his clients in and out of court. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, high-stakes matrimonial litigation, constitutional litigation, and criminal proceedings. David has experience litigating matters involving myriad industries, including healthcare, cannabis, private equity, film financing, freight railroading, and real estate.

David has helped navigate clients to victories in federal court, state court, and arbitration, and he has been a driving force in cases that have been reported on in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Financial Times, Crain’s, and Bloomberg, which wrote that a lawsuit where he is litigating on behalf of cannabis businesses “could revamp the marijuana landscape.”

A former clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, David has also advised clients on matters involving administrative agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control.
