Profile

Menno is a trial and appellate lawyer in our Washington D.C. office.  He represents plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of litigation, from early dispute resolution through appeal. 

Menno joined the firm after completing clerkships with Judge A. Wallace Tashima of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Josephine L. Staton of the District Court for the Central District of California.  Menno received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.  From 2009 to 2011, Menno served as a Senior Advisor for legislative affairs at the U.S. Department of Treasury.         

Experience

  • Assisting a major technology company with crisis management, counseling and potential litigation related to fast-moving public policy developments
  • Representing a major consumer electronics company in federal and California state court litigation involving antitrust, intellectual property, and contract law claims
  • Lead counsel for plaintiff-appellant in Garcia v. Salvation Army (16-16827), currently pending before the Ninth Circuit
  • Representing the petitioners in Animal Science Products, Inc. v. Hebei Welcome Pharmaceuticals Co., Inc. before the U.S. Supreme Court and Second Circuit
  • Outside counsel to Democratic congressional candidate on political and election law matters
