Patrick’s main practice area is complex commercial litigation, from inception through trial and appeals, in federal and state court, as well as in various forms of alternative dispute resolution.  Patrick has handled complex commercial litigation matters for, among others, Tory Burch LLC, Fox Paine & Company, and Freestream Aircraft (Bermuda).

Before joining the firm, Patrick was a partner in the litigation group at Battle Fowler, where his representative matters included the successful defense of the partnership that controls the Empire State Building in an action by the landlord seeking to terminate the partnership's lease; the successful defense of a large, public real estate partnership in class action and arbitration proceedings seeking judicial dissolution of the partnership; and the successful representation of the leading U.S. corporate barter firm in litigations defending and enforcing complex barter transactions. 

From 2004 to 2008, Patrick served as Vice President and Special Counsel to the Chairman of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, managing and directing numerous litigations involving the company and its subsidiaries.

In 2014, he was appointed District Leader for the Ninth Judicial District and member of the Executive Committee of the New York Bar Association’s Commercial and Federal Litigation Section.
