Paul is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group. Paul concentrates his practice on commercial transactions and business advisory work. He has represented clients on significant matters across various practice areas and industries, including transactions involving acquisition, disposition, financing, investment, leasing, and restructuring. Paul also advises clients in the formation and structuring of various business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and joint ventures.

Since 2015, Paul has been on the panel of pro tempore judges and small claims referees for the Las Vegas Justice Court. He also has served on multiple occasions as a competition judge for the American Bar Association Law Student Division National Appellate Advocacy Competition and Client Counseling Competition. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Paul was a shareholder in the law firm of Dickerson, Dickerson, Consul & Pocker.

Transactions in which Paul has had a leading role include:

  • Representing the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority in various real estate acquisitions, including its purchase of the Riviera Hotel & Casino
  • Representing clients in mergers and entity and organizational restructuring transactions
  • Representing clients in securities “going private” transactions
  • Advising clients in the financing and refinancing of commercial real estate and other business assets
  • Counseling clients in the prosecution of stockholder derivative actions
  • Advising clients in the sale of shopping centers and outlet malls
  • Representing clients in the sale of championship golf courses and country clubs
  • Advising a national communications company in the acquisition of sites for operations and expansion
  • Representing clients in acquisition and financing of automobile dealership sites
  • Counseling clients in loan workouts and real estate asset dispositions
  • Representing clients in the sale of medical and healthcare practices
  • Counseling clients in lease negotiations for industrial, warehouse, office, and retail sites
  • Advising clients in negotiations with environmental regulatory agencies regarding environmental issues impacting real estate projects
