Bill regularly guides major corporations, startup companies, local businesses, and prominent individuals through their most significant business litigations and most complicated legal issues.

Bill’s litigation experience is extensive and varied, handling high stakes disputes involving contracts, license agreements, patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property, business divorces, partnership rights, shareholder rights, corporate governance, and product liability and consumer fraud class actions. He has represented major companies seeking to protect their core products and intellectual property, including in Hatch-Waxman litigations in which pharmaceutical and medical device patent portfolios covering flagship branded products were at stake, as well as smaller businesses enforcing their contractual rights. With a technical background, Bill excels at working with subject matter experts to present complex issues to courts and juries in clear and simple terms. Bill’s experience trying matters large and small in state and federal courts enables him to remain focused on providing clients with value, including through alternative fee arrangements, and to budget matters accordingly.

In addition to litigating matters, Bill regularly provides strategic advice, litigation risk assessments, and case analyses to his clients. Bill also is a mediator and has successfully mediated complex business disputes pending in New York state and federal courts. He is a member of the board of directors of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley and of the Business Council of Westchester.
