Most recently a Deputy Solicitor General for the state of Florida, Evan focuses on appellate and complex commercial litigation. He has significant trial and appellate experience, in both private practice and government service.

During his time at Florida's Solicitor General's office, Evan represented the state in a wide variety of civil and criminal appeals. He has substantial first-chair experience in both the Florida and federal appellate courts and handled critical motions and hearings in state and federal trial courts. Additionally, he helped prepare a U.S. Supreme Court argument and handled numerous arguments at the Florida Supreme Court and in the intermediate appellate courts.

Prior to the Florida Solicitor General's office, Evan spent several years working at Boies Schiller Flexner as an associate on notable appeals and trial-level cases, where he handled all matters of pre-trial litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, preparing for and taking depositions, and preparing for trial court and appellate court oral arguments.

Earlier in his career, Evan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Stephen A. Higginson of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and to the Hon. Nicholas G. Garaufis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
