Partner Hamish Hume, representing the bridge owners, said his client could and should get a permit to expand the Detroit-to-Canada Bridge soon. “It does not need any further public hearings or delay to determine again the same thing that it determined long ago. The court should order the Coast Guard to issue the permit. There is no justifiable reason for the Coast Guard’s failure to issue the permit.”
