On September 25, Boies Schiller Flexner partner Ben Love will give a virtual lecture at the University of Miami School of Law on “Investment Arbitration in Latin America.” The lecture covers the historical roots and development of investor-state arbitration in Latin America, the substantive standards and procedural mechanisms that evolved from mixed claims commissions and diplomatic exchanges in the region, the prominence of Latin America as a source of investment treaty disputes, and the role of Latin American governments in ongoing efforts to reform investor-state dispute resolution.
