Boies Schiller Flexner has joined the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (LFAA), a newly formed group of law firms committed to working together, in partnership with legal services organizations, to identify and fight racism.

The purpose of the Alliance is: “To leverage the resources of the private bar in partnership with legal services organizations to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color, and to promote racial equity in the law.”

“We are proud to join the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, and fully support its goals. We are committed to driving change and eliminating barriers, to using the power of the law to attack injustice and discrimination, and to ensuring that this continues to be a cornerstone of our firm for years to come,” said Boies Schiller Flexner Managing Partner Natasha Harrison.

Among the Alliance’s action items are legislative and advocacy strategies to change laws and policies, as well as initiating high-impact litigation to bring about reforms. Alliance members also pledge to examine and eliminate internal policies and practices that may perpetuate racial inequities.

In addition to joining the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, Harrison recently signed a pledge with other UK business leaders to set targets for diverse candidate slates for every vacancy at the firm.
