On the cutting edge of class action litigation arising from investor losses in the Madoff Ponzi scheme, BSF filed one of the first "feeder fund" suits against Fairfield Greenwich Group -- the largest Madoff feeder fund -- seeking recovery of over $7 billion. The complaint was filed on January 12, 2009 in federal court in New York, and on January 30th, BSF, along with two other firms, was appointed interim co-lead counsel for the Class of Fairfield investors. In addition, on June 10, 2009, the Firm filed the first class action suit on behalf of investors in the Kingate Madoff feeder funds.
