BSF Partners George Carpinello and Michael Underhill have moved to intervene in a copyright lawsuit on behalf of Mannie Garcia, acknowledged to be the photographer behind the iconic “Obama Hope” image. Asserting copyright infringement claims against poster creator, Shepard Fairey, freelancer Garcia also seeks to establish that he has a copyright claim superior to that of the Associated Press, which published his photo.
