Albany County Supreme Court Justice John C. Egan, Jr. granted BSF’s motion on behalf of the New York Yankees to quash the legislative subpoena of Assemblyman Richard Brodsky to release documents about the new stadium, and denied the Assemblyman’s motion to compel production under that same subpoena. The BSF legal team led by Jonathan Schiller and George Carpinello was gratified that the judge completely agreed with BSF’s position that all along the Yankees had acted in good faith and cooperated in responding to the legislative committee's requests and that in issuing this subpoena, Mr. Brodsky had gone well beyond any legitimate legislative inquiry.
