Boies Schiller Flexner partner Jesse Panuccio, who co-leads the firm’s Appellate practice, has been selected as chairman of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission.
Jesse has served on the commission since 2016, participating in eight appointments to the state’s high court, and has most recently held the role of vice chair. Five of the seven sitting justices on the Florida Supreme Court were appointed during Jesse’s tenure on the commission.
The Judicial Nominating Commission, at the direction of the Governor of Florida, recruits, investigates, evaluates, and nominates qualified applicants for the office of Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida. The governor appoints justices from the nominees submitted to him by the commission.
