Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP is among the firms setting the standard for working mothers, according to the National Association of Women Lawyers® ("NAWL"), which profiled the firm in its December 2007 newsletter.  The article makes clear that the Firm takes special care to give attorneys the best of both worlds, with flexible hours and challenging work.  The article quotes Washington, D.C.-based trial lawyer and partner Tanya Chutkan -- who has two young children -- as explaining that BSF's culture places a heavy emphasis on quality of life over office "face time."  "'If you need to leave to see your child in a school play or you're coaching a sport, you do it,'" Ms. Chutkan is quoted as saying.  "'The expectation is that you will get your work done on time, and done well.'"
