Ciara’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation and appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Ciara clerked for the Hon. Gregory A. Phillips of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Additionally, she was a litigation associate at a large law firm in Washington, D.C., and a judicial intern for the Hon. Roy B. Dalton, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

During law school, as part of UVA’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, Ciara argued before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Sixth Circuits. In the Sixth Circuit, she won reversal and secured a new trial for a criminal defendant convicted of possessing controlled substances with intent to distribute. She also completed UVA’s Pro Bono Challenge by contributing more than 75 hours of service.
