Robert G. Keefe

Robby is a high-stakes litigator whose practice focuses on complex commercial disputes. He has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, examined and cross-examined witnesses at a federal jury trial, and litigated and arbitrated significant matters across the country.

Robby rejoined the firm after clerking for the Hon. Robert J. Luck of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Hon. M. Casey Rodgers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and the Hon. Mark E. Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

Before law school, Robby worked as an analyst at the New York Stock Exchange.

Robby’s experience includes:

• Representing Delta Air Lines in litigation related to the CrowdStrike faulty software update outage
• Representing heirs of a Holocaust survivor seeking to recover a Camille Pissarro masterpiece looted by the Nazis and currently held by a Spanish museum
• Representing a group of creditors in an over $1 billion intellectual property dispute in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding
• Briefing and arguing an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit as court-appointed counsel for a habeas petitioner
• Representing the shareholders of a Florida non-profit corporation in a derivative action relating to the misappropriation of hundreds of millions of dollars of corporate assets
• Defending high-net-worth individuals against nationwide putative class actions asserting federal RICO claims
• Defending Philip Morris USA Inc. in numerous Florida actions concerning smoking-related injuries
• Representing a major shipping carrier in a multimillion-dollar personal injury dispute, which resulted in a favorable settlement
• Representing a leading insurance company in a dispute with a private-equity backed physician staffing company
• Representing a trustee in a dispute over the management of a multimillion-dollar commercial real estate company held by the trust
• Representing a national real estate developer in a dispute with CMBS trust concerning payment of loan’s B note
• Representing decedent’s estate in a multibillion-dollar cryptocurrency claim
• Representing a national franchisor in an antitrust dispute concerning non-compete agreements
• Representing a national technology and financial services provider in a class arbitration
