Lauren represents clients in state and federal courts in a wide range of litigation matters, including complex civil litigation, contractual disputes, securities fraud, and employment disputes. Her practice spans a variety of industries, such as media and sports, real estate, finance, and insurance.

Lauren takes an active leadership role on her cases, including drafting and arguing motions, attending hearings, and running discovery. Most recently, she played a critical role in obtaining a $95 million settlement on behalf of a class of plaintiffs in a securities fraud class action against an international media company that allegedly paid bribes to FIFA to secure various World Cup rights. Additionally, she was part of a trial team that brought breach of contract, fraud, and negligence claims on behalf of a private equity company against an insurance broker, achieving a successful resolution for the client. Lauren also devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono matters, including recently drafting amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court and Texas Supreme Court.

Lauren joined the firm following her two-year clerkship for the Hon. Amy Berman Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to her clerkship, Lauren was an associate in Los Angeles at a major law firm, where her practice primarily focused on labor and employment litigation.

Lauren’s experience includes:

  • Representing a private equity company in a successful jury trial against an insurance broker for claims of breach of contract, fraud, and negligence; the jury returned a liability verdict in the client’s favor and the case reached a successful resolution during the damages phase of the trial
  • Representing a class of plaintiffs against an international media company that allegedly paid bribes to FIFA to secure various World Cup rights
  • Representing a MLB baseball team in connection with appellate proceedings in the Second Circuit
  • Representing an individual in a defamation case against an online publication
  • Representing a major shareholder in a breach of contract and fraud lawsuit against the executive chairman of a public company
  • Representing a prominent bank in third-party discovery
  • Drafting an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court of the in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on behalf of over 500 female athletes and various sports organizations
  • Drafting an amicus brief to the Texas Supreme Court in State of Texas v. Zurawski on behalf of female athletes and various sports organizations
  • Reuniting a pro bono client with her child after the child was placed in foster care for over five months by the City of New York and subsequently filing a civil rights lawsuit alleging that the City and its contractors discriminated against the mother
  • Defending a prominent international bank in multiple cases involving the alleged manipulation of LIBOR
  • Defending a high-profile company and its executives in litigation involving a variety of employment-based claims such as alleged gender discrimination, retaliation, and unequal pay
  • Representing real estate developers and other companies involved in disputes related to real estate contracts
