Boies Schiller Flexner's London office leapt two tiers in Banking Litigation, rose in a further two categories, and debuted in Regulatory Investigations and Corporate Crime in Legal 500 UK's 2020 rankings, earning across-the-board mentions for the Dispute Resolution team.

For London Managing Partner Natasha Harrison, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee tasked with building the firm’s first international office, the shift in rankings is a “welcome and significant achievement” and “a credit to the impact, in a highly competitive market, of a talented and hard-working team.”

In Banking Litigation the firm moved to Tier 2 from Tier 4, standing out for “its handling of complex, cross-border and transatlantic banking litigation.” BSF rose to Tier 5 in Commercial Litigation, and to Tier 4 in International Arbitration, where it won recognition for its “vast international experience and a dynamic team comprising smart, tactically savvy lawyers.” The firm retained its Tier 3 ranking in Public International Law, with credit to its “wealth of experience.” Partner Matt Getz’s “extremely professional and very knowledgeable team of lawyers” made its debut in Regulatory Investigations and Corporate Crime.

“These rankings are incredibly important to us in the London market, which represents the best of the best in the world, Harrison said. Rarely do we see much shift in the rankings year on year, so to move up two in Banking Litigation is a welcome and significant achievement.”

Harrison continues to be recognized as a leading individual by Legal 500, which also mentions partners Fiona Huntriss, Matt Getz, Will Hooker, Ken Beale, and Dominic Roughton, as well as newly promoted counsel Prateek Swaika and associates Michael Jacobs, Melissa Kelley, and David Hunt.
High stake cases taken into account for the rankings include advising Barclays Capital on its long running dispute with the administrators of Lehman Brothers International, advising Midtown Acquisitions on two judgements totalling $600 million and acting for a prominent Russian businessmen in a high-profile investor-state claim.

Boies Schiller Flexner's London team has also just been shortlisted for the Legal Week Litigation and Arbitration Awards in Commercial Litigation and Competition Litigation for advising Apple Inc on its high profile dispute with Qualcomm.
