Boies Schiller Flexner LLP announced today that Christian Mammen has joined the firm as a partner in the intellectual property practice, resident in the San Francisco office.
Over nearly three decades, Chris has represented Silicon Valley, national and global companies in patent, intellectual property and technology litigation and strategy. He has led trial teams in courts across the U.S. and served as lead counsel in appeals before the Ninth and Federal Circuits. His clients span the artificial intelligence, telecommunications, life sciences, medical devices, microelectronics, pharmaceutical and software sectors.

Chris joins from Womble Bond Dickinson where he served as office managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco and Walnut Creek offices and co-founded its artificial intelligence practice. He previously led the firm’s U.S. intellectual property litigation group and served on its global board.
He is a frequent speaker and writer in his field on topics including how AI-generated “digital replicas” are reshaping entertainment and the security risks deepfakes and voice cloning pose more broadly. Chris also serves on the advisory boards of the Berkeley-Stanford Advanced Patent Law Institute and the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology.
