BSF partner Matthew L. Schwartz has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the 2017 Attorneys Who Matter for his contribution to raising the profile of corporate ethics and integrity, the third consecutive year that he has been included on the list.
The Attorneys Who Matter come from all areas of practice, including federal agencies, in-house counsel, top ethics and compliance officers of major companies, and outside counsel. They are recognized for raising the bar for ethical behavior and for a commendable track record of public service, legal community engagement, and academic involvement.
Schwartz's practice encompasses government and internal investigations, white collar defense, regulatory compliance, and complex civil litigation. He joined Boies Schiller Flexner in 2015 after a decade as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, where he was a senior member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.
