Boies Schiller Flexner partner Sigrid McCawley spoke to the Daily Business Review about her work for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, and how the climate for survivors has changed since she began the work.
“It was a much different environment. Victims were not believed,” McCawley told the publication, which named her a finalist for Attorney of the Year for the work for Virginia Roberts Giuffre and others.
“Certainly when I first met with Virginia, I realized the depth and breadth and the seriousness of this case, but I had no idea it would consume my life and my every moment,” McCawley said. But it was a “journey I would never change,” she said.
