Emelyne has a broad commercial disputes practice with experience advising on a variety of claims, including complex and high profile litigation.

Emelyne has experience advising clients through various modes of dispute resolution such as litigation, judicial review, international arbitration, and mediation. She advises on a range of sectors, including financial and payment services, energy, technology, and more.

Emelyne also has experience handling a range of transactional, contentious, and regulatory issues pertaining to the art market. She has previously represented a variety of clients including collectors, galleries, dealerships, artists, and government entities.

Prior to joining BSF, Emelyne was an associate at an American boutique law firm within the Art Law and Cultural Property and Commercial Dispute Resolution practice groups.

Emelyne's experience includes: 

  • Assisting The Line Art Walk with the drafting and review of various agreements, including artist commission agreements and loan agreements in support of exhibitions organised or curated by the organisation
  • Representing a leading gallery in the High Court and arbitration proceedings over claims brought by a high-net-worth family regarding the purchase of high-value artworks
  • Representing a small group of dealers and collectors in a judicial review and appeal of the Ivory Act 2018 by way of a judicial review and appeal
