Lindsey represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Her practice spans billion-dollar contract disputes, international fraud and asset recovery issues, and cases on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation. She has experience at every stage of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal, including multiple jury trials and briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court. She also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on reproductive freedom and the rights of survivors of gender-based violence.
Recently, Lindsey was part of the team representing the City of Almaty, Kazakhstan, and BTA Bank in litigation involving theft and money laundering by Almaty’s former mayor, BTA’s former chairman, and their co-conspirators. The team secured jury verdicts in three separate federal trials, resulting in judgments totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. She also was involved in the representation of a publicist in the high-profile Lively v. Baldoni litigation, securing dismissal of all defamation and related claims against her client at the pleading stage.
Lindsey’s significant pro bono work includes representing a group of dancers in federal litigation asserting claims of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. She also litigated constitutional challenges to Louisiana’s abortion restrictions following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, securing the first ruling in the nation blocking enforcement of a state’s post-Dobbs “trigger bans.”
